Little Miracles

This group stretches from ages 3 to 7 years old, although it is not age specific. We believe that every child can learn regardless of developmental level or diagnoses. Our Little Miracles follow a very individualized program which is focused specifically on developmental milestones. Many of the Little Miracles are faced with slight to severe developmental delay, therefor we identify the gaps in the developmental process, and focus on the specific need of every child.

"Don’t give up. I believe in you all. A person's a person no matter how small."
~ Dr. Seuss
The group program is developed with social skills, confidence, and discipline in mind. We follow a basic routine every day, only allowing for specific times of variation, to create a secure and predictable environment for the child. We emphasize an exposure to sensory input in all our activities, especially during art projects.
Group activities include:
  • Art and craft
  • Scheduled music activities
  • Sensory activities
  • planned turn-based games
  • proprioceptive activities
  • And more!

Goldie The Assistant Dog

Goldie is our pet friend who accompanies one of our students to the centre. She is trained in Animal Assisted Therapy and will be receiving ongoing training, as she has a specific functioning roll in the student’s life. Even though she knows exactly who her first priority is, Goldie is very comfortable and interactive with all students and she hugely benefits everyone at Hands of Hope!
